Nestled in the hinterland between the castles of Miramare and Duino, the village of Sistiana is home to Hotel Eden and has over the ages born witness to many events of historical importance. Located in the municipality of Duino Aurisina, this picturesque village is merely a few kilometres from beautiful Trieste and its city centre.
The nearby Sistiana Bay is where the sparkling blue of the sea meets the hues of the local woods. By day these vibrant colours are illuminated by sunshine while by night they are embraced in the rhythm of Trieste’s dynamic nightlife.
Whether the reason for your visit is business or pleasure, Hotel Eden is the ideal place for you to spoil yourself in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere which doesn’t compromise on comfort or quality.
The building of the hotel dates back to the end of the 19th century and until the Great War played a pivotal role in the everyday life of the residents of Sistiana.
Built by Jože Legiša, it was first used as an inn, then it became the village bakery – with its wood oven working non-stop with the sole exception of Christmas day – and then some of its rooms were even used as elementary school classrooms.
Renovated and refurbished according to the tailor-made vision of hotel designer Fabio Rimbaldo, Hotel Eden has now returned to its original vocation of hospitality and is ready to welcome you.
